What Is Responsible Gaming?

Responsible gaming means enjoying gaming as a healthy form of entertainment — one where you stay fully in control of your time, money, and emotions. kul9's responsible gaming policy is more than a list of rules; it's our genuine commitment to every player's well-being.

Online gaming is a source of entertainment, social connection, and excitement for millions of people. But like any form of entertainment, it's best enjoyed within limits. kul9 believes every player deserves to make informed decisions — and has the right to the information and tools needed to do so.

Kul9's responsible gaming policy is built to international standards. We continuously update our systems to detect at-risk behavior and provide timely support.

Keep in Mind Gaming is for fun. If it ever starts to feel like a burden, that's a sign you need a break.

Signs of Problematic Gaming

Problematic gaming doesn't always happen overnight — it builds up gradually. Stay alert if you or someone close to you begins showing any of the signs below:

Warning Signs If you notice these signs, seek help immediately and take a break from gaming.
Continuing to play in an attempt to recover losses ("chasing losses")
Hiding the extent of your gaming from family or friends
Spending money set aside for essential expenses on gaming
Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when not gaming
Spending excessive time gaming at the expense of work, studies, or relationships
Repeatedly trying to cut back on gaming but failing

How to Build Healthy Gaming Habits

Responsible gaming isn't just about avoiding problems — it's about making gaming a positive part of your life. kul9 encourages you to build the following habits:

Set Your Budget in Advance

Before you start playing, decide the maximum amount in BDT you're willing to spend that day. Once you hit that limit, end the session — win or lose.

Schedule Your Time

Decide how long you'll play before you start. Set a timer on your phone. When time is up, take a break.

Keep Balance in Your Life

Gaming should be a small part of your life. Play alongside time spent with family, friends, work, and hobbies.

Don't Play on Emotion

Avoid gaming when you're angry, upset, or stressed. It's harder to make sound decisions in that state.

Treat Winnings as a Bonus

Don't expect guaranteed income from gaming. Treat winnings as a bonus and losses as the cost of entertainment.

For Family & Friends

If someone close to you seems to be struggling with a gaming addiction, being there for them matters most. Here are a few steps that can help:

  • Speak to them with concern, not judgment.
  • Offer to help them get their gaming under control.
  • Contact the kul9 support team for guidance.
  • Encourage them to get involved in alternative activities and social events.
  • If needed, seek support from a professional mental health specialist.
Keep in Mind Addiction is a health issue, not a character flaw. With the right support, recovery is possible.

FAQ

Your account cannot be reactivated before the self-exclusion period ends. This is by design — to prevent any impulsive decision to resume gaming during your break. Once the period expires, you can request reactivation through our support team.

A Cooling-Off Period is a temporary break (24 hours to 6 weeks) after which your account is automatically reactivated. Self-Exclusion is a long-term measure (6 months to 5 years) that requires you to actively request reactivation even after the period ends.

Use parental control software on your devices. Keep your kul9 account password and login details out of children's reach. Never leave the app open and logged in on a mobile device. Use a separate lock password on every device.

Yes. If our system detects unusual or concerning gaming patterns on an account, we will reach out to that player and may temporarily restrict the account if necessary. This is done solely in the interest of the player's well-being.
